We, my husband Paul and son Wil, and I, first started coming to Seabrook a few years ago in November. We fully expected rain and stormy seas. What we got was sunshine so warm we were in shorts and shirtsleeves!! Now it hasn’t been that way every visit, we have had the rain, the stormy seas, the mist, the fog, rainbows, amazing sunrises and sunsets… you get the idea. We have never been disappointed, no matter what the weather. We have stayed a couple of different places and have been so comfortable and at home that we always dream of living there. It is somewhere that we plan to come back to before we even head home. I love that my husband can relax and not think about work for days on end.
My son loves the pool and the bike riding. And anything else he can talk us into. I love that the little bakery has treats that I, as a Celiac, can eat. The ice cream shop was a huge hit this last visit.
My favorite memory is being on the beach with my family. Someone had built a temporary swing set out of driftwood and we were playing away and beach combing when Wil noticed something by the water that was moving around. We got to watch a sea otter playing in the waves, rolling around the beach and body surfing for almost an hour. The beach was empty except for us and that otter. I got some video, but the memory is so clear in my mind that the video doesn’t do it justice. My son still talks about that otter. It was amazing and beautiful.
