Me, my sister, and my brother had been planning a surprise party for my father’s 70th birthday for months. After searching all over for the best place to stay, we landed on Seabrook. We found the perfect house (The Blue Lantern) that would hold our individual families, our parents, and 2 dogs. We were all there when my parents arrived. You should have seen his face!! He couldn’t believe we were all in the same place….for an entire weekend….for him. The home was beautiful….perfect beach home. The kids loved that they had their own space on the 3rd floor (there were forts galore). My parents were taken aback by the master, the claw-foot tub, and the huge deck off their room. My sister, brother, and I had our own spaces with our spouses. We spent the first day back and forth to/from the beach. Although it poured on us the first time….the clouds parted later in the day and we took full advantage. (I wonder if the sky cleared due to the Seahawk’s win?) The walk down to the beach was super easy, and you could tell a lot of thought had gone into making sure it was safe. The beach itself was…of course….beautiful. We flew kites, played with the dogs, watched the kids run around. It was heartwarming, to say the least. Aside from beach trips, the rest of the weekend was spent cooking, going to the pool, soaking in the hot tub, playing games, putting puzzles together, and just simply spending time together. It had been 25 years since we had all had a vacation together. Seabrook was the perfect place for this reunion. Thank you!!
