My wife and I had a camping trip planned on the Washington coast and decided to leave a day early to spend a Thursday night in Seabrook. We ended up driving out to Ocean Shore and up hwy 109 to Seabrook to enjoy the coastal drive. Seabrook is situated on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It feels like a beach community and atmosphere the moment you enter the town. Every detail in Seabrook, may it be the houses, community stores and restaurants, was designed to bring a ‘beach life’ feel. While we were there, we enjoyed walking around the town and seeing all the unique houses in the community. We found a pickle ball court at the south end of the town overlooking hwy 109 and decided to play for a little while. ‘A Shore Thing’ ended up being open for the one night we wanted to stay. This house was perfect for an overnight stay and had everything we needed. Even with needing to wait for a couple hours before the house was ready, we enjoyed killing time walking on a sandy beach with the warm weather we lucked out with on the Washington coast, which is a rarity.
We ended up coming back for a day during the camping trip, to experience the farmers Saturday morning markets and the shops. Also, being a builder, I wanted to look at all the expansion Seabrook was doing on the south-side of the town. Even with all the construction going on, the noise pollution was not bad at all when we stayed on the Thursday and came day during the day on Saturday.
Seabrook is perfect for a night get away or spending the entire week. We joke with each other with the saying ‘In Seabrook your King’, but that is how you feel in Seabrook from all the amenities down to the smaller details in their rentals. We will be back again someday.
