We visit Seabrook at least once a year and it’s always my 4yr olds favorite vacation. We live just a short two hours away but we love the peace and serenity of the beach anytime of year. This year we came to visit right after Labor Day. The skimboarding pool was still up, the town starting to quiet down after the holiday weekend, the weather still fantastic-it was perfect!
We decided to make it a girls weekend- Mima (grandma) Mama and Maisie. The three M’s! We stayed in the farm district, the perfect quiet spot. Our days consisted of all of Maisie’s favorite activities. Swimming in the pool, playing at the park, visiting the horses, getting treats at The Sweet Life, pizza at Frontagers, more than one trip to the toy store, lounging in the hot tub at our house. And of course-the beach! I swear each year she plays at the beach she gets dirtier than the year before and she always picks out the perfect piece of drift wood!
After long days of play and eating, she’s tuckered out and goes to bed. Then my mom and i get to relax on the porch with a fancy cocktail and talk about life, recount the days activities and enjoy the quiet of Seabrook-no noise like we’re so used to in our city life.
Our three days go too fast as always-Maisie always cries as we leave. “I wanted to stay 10 days she says. Or maybe we should just live here forever?” I remind her we’ll be back soon…so until next time, we’ll be missing you Seabrook!!
