Reminisce, bliss, sheer happiness.
Newcomers, summers. Kite runners.
Families. Relaxed, at ease.
Beach days, Misty haze.
Toe dipping, coffee sipping.
Beat the heat. Time to eat.
Cloud nine. Mill 109.
Red Velvet, you’re all set.
Something nice? The Sweet Life.
More kites, bikes. Little tykes.
Playground found, kids all around.
Need to keep cool, hit the pool.
Wine spilling, singing, BBQ grilling.
41 Button Lane, secret Gnome trail.
Best place we’ve ever been. Seabrook, July 2017.

We arrived in Seabrook on a blustery July afternoon. Having moved our lives from Ireland to Seattle eighteen months prior and having spent most of that time settling into American life, entertaining an endless stream of visitors and oh, adding a beautiful baby girl to our family, this was our first official VA-CAY!! First stop…..the beach of course! That feeling of stepping onto warm sand, sauntering our way out to the sea….Matthew and Annabelle’s first glance of the wild Pacific Ocean, tiny toes in freezing water, mesmerized by crashing waves and the great expanse that lay ahead…..freedom to run!! And yet, the feeling was familiar….home away from home – reminding us of summer days spent on rugged coastlines in the West of Ireland….we couldn’t be happier!
I watched in awe as Matthew and his dad ran joyously along this incredible beach…..Buzz Lightyear flapping in the wind behind them…..laughter, freedom, unadulterated happiness. That will be our everlasting memory of our FIRST visit to Seabrook. We will be back. Next time – Annabelle will run along that sand beside her brother tugging on the kite strings! Footprints in the sand and in our memories forever! Thank you Seabrook ????
