We came to Seabrook on a last minute whim. We’d lost our oldest daughter 01/6/16. And in early April when all the pain when was overloading all of us, I decided to book a 5 day stay away. Away from our normal our town our everything that she was missing from.
The beach, was something our daughter loved and sunsets. A client of mine told me about Seabrook and told me he thought it was exactly the perfect place to go, and he couldn’t have been more correct. So I called, I spoke to the kindest reservation gal, I’m sure she could hear the pain in my voice, and found us a home that more than met our needs completely.
So we hopped in the car the next morning and headed to the ocean. I couldn’t wait to feel the sand and ocean breeze. Our home there was just so perfect and all we needed was groceries. Never being there before we didn’t know what to expect. My best friend came with us with her husband and son. The 7 of us ready to enjoy all that the beach brings. Once there we unpacked and settled in. It was perfectly decorated and felt just like home. I could’ve stayed a month easily. The little shops, restaurants, pool and fire pit were some of our favorites. My other 2 children loved making pottery and getting to go pick it up the next day. We loved making such a meaningful memento from our get away, and is a wonderful reminder of our time there. We even brought our dog, who loves the beach and the pet store was the cutest store ever. Not to mention the dog washing station my husband used everyday for Bella. We walked the beach, (which if your from Washington the most of us have usually been to Ocean Shores, and the comparison of the beach, you’d actually think you were in a completely different part of WA it was so much prettier here!) We enjoyed sunsets and even a sprinkle or two. All and all, it was one of the most peaceful and enjoyable things we’ve done as a family since losing our girl. #foreverchasingsunsets
